PILATES APPARATUS
Pilates Apparatus
Full Apparatus Pilates refers to working with the complete range of traditional Pilates equipment, including the Cadillac (Trapeze Table), Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector. Each piece has a specific purpose, offering different ways to support, challenge, and refine movement.
This approach allows for a highly individualised experience. The variety of equipment makes it possible to both assist and challenge the body in very specific ways — whether that’s supporting someone through rehabilitation, helping to correct long-standing imbalances, or progressing strength and control in a more advanced practice.
For example, the Cadillac can be used to support the body in suspended movements that encourage length and alignment, while the Wunda Chair offers more compact, strength-focused work that challenges stability and control. Barrels are often used to improve spinal mobility, extension, and overall posture.
Because of this versatility, Full Apparatus sessions are often used in more tailored settings, where exercises can be selected and adapted to suit the individual in front of the instructor. The result is a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of movement, and a body that is not just stronger, but more balanced, supported, and efficient.
